Monday was our anniversary. We had a brief walk in the La Canada area and enjoyed dinner at Lawry's. I hadn't eaten a steak in awhile and I must say it was quite good. The lobster tail was my favorite, though, reminded me of being a kid on Long Island. We had an awkward encounter with the roving carolers that stopped by our table. They asked us if we would like to hear a song. We said, "Errrr...ummmm...uhhh." They said, "Something slow, something fast, something festive?" I thought, "Aren't all the holiday songs you might sing festive?" Then one of the ladies wearing a "festive" bonnet said, "How about White Christmas?" We nodded yes like Ralphie nods to Santa in A Christmas Story before he asks for his red ryder bb gun. Aren't we lucky we chose the week before Christmas to get married?
walking in Angeles National Forest - kelly got me a second diamond ring to symbolize two years married

it was so clear we could see downtown LA and the ocean

went to dinner at Lawry's Prime Rib in Beverly Hills - we both got prime rib, a lobster tail and, yes, we each had mashed potatoes plus baked potato, also got mushrooms and yorkshire pudding
