Merry Christmas!

We stayed in LA for the holidays this year and took it easy. As is tradition, Athena came to stay with us and added a bit of her energy to the festivities.
Kelly got to make music with his friend, Masa. Then he lounged around a bit with the puppies.

Dinner with Monica and Moopy

Last week we had a holiday dinner at our friend Monica's house. She cooked us an excellent meal and we got to visit with her and her little black bunny, Moopy. Snoops even got to come along. Surprisingly he was not very interested in Moopy. In fact, he didn't even notice the bunny was in the room until we pointed him out. Snoops gave him a sniff, they both looked a little confused, and that was it - thank goodness for no excitement or chasing.

Two Year Anniversary!

Monday was our anniversary. We had a brief walk in the La Canada area and enjoyed dinner at Lawry's. I hadn't eaten a steak in awhile and I must say it was quite good. The lobster tail was my favorite, though, reminded me of being a kid on Long Island. We had an awkward encounter with the roving carolers that stopped by our table. They asked us if we would like to hear a song. We said, "Errrr...ummmm...uhhh." They said, "Something slow, something fast, something festive?" I thought, "Aren't all the holiday songs you might sing festive?" Then one of the ladies wearing a "festive" bonnet said, "How about White Christmas?" We nodded yes like Ralphie nods to Santa in A Christmas Story before he asks for his red ryder bb gun. Aren't we lucky we chose the week before Christmas to get married?
